James Leaves

James was such an incredible person with a love for life and all around him. 

Since July 2021, when he received his diagnosis, all our lives changed. He fought so hard and showed great strength and determination in a heartbreaking battle where there are no winnners. We are so immensely proud of him. He meant the world to us and we will always love and miss him.

I told James earlier this year (2024) that I was going to ask all of his friends to choose a plant in memory of him, name it after him and have little chats with it so that he would know we would all be thinking of him. He smiled and squeezed my hand when I told him. Keeping his memory alive and knowing that we are all thinking of him, having a little chat with him and sharing the news, will help to ease our tremendous loss and hopefully help others too.

If we can add further updates each year beginning on James' special day - October 9th (James' birthday and the day we said our final goodbyes to him) - that would be so nice and greatly appreciated. Life will never be the same without James but he will be in our hearts forever.

Thank you all for helping in doing this - being a part of James' life and easing some of the pain.
